Comprehensive High School #3 Renamed to Sageview High School
During the board meeting on Tuesday, February 14, district staff shared the outcomes of the Comprehensive High School #3 Branding Survey and presented information aligning with District Policy 9250 and 9250 P Naming of Schools. The survey aimed to gather community preferences for the new high school's name and color options, in preparation for board action.
Survey results revealed the community's favored name choices, with the following breakdown:
- Sageview High School – 48.83% (2,602 votes)
- Desert Vista High School – 27.74% (1,478 votes)
- Harvest View High School – 23.44% (1,249 votes)
In response to the survey outcomes, the Board made a decision during the meeting to officially change the name of Comprehensive High School #3 from Harvest View High School to Sageview High School.
Additionally, the survey addressed color preferences for the high school names. District staff are ready to proceed with the community's top choice for Sageview High School, adopting a color palette consisting of forest green, black, white, gray, and sage. This decision marks a significant step toward the establishment and identity of Sageview High School within the community.
