Principal's Message

A Warm Welcome to Sageview High School!

Welcome Sageview parents, students, and community members!

I am Raquel Martinez, the Planning Principal and Principal of Sageview High School. I feel blessed and excited to take on this responsibility and look forward to the collaboration among students, staff, and community members.

My journey in education began in 2006 within the Pasco School District, where I started as a biology teacher at Pasco High School. As I progressed in my career, I took on the role of Bilingual Facilitator at PHS, where I collaborated, led, and provided professional development with a focus on our multilingual student learners.

Recognizing the impact of effective leadership on educational outcomes, I transitioned to the position of Assistant Principal at Stevens Middle School in 2014. This experience allowed me to further refine my skills in administration and student support. For the past six years, I had the honor of serving as the Principal of Stevens Middle School, where we fostered a positive school culture and consistently provided high levels of learning for all of our students.

I firmly believe that through collaboration, innovation, and a steadfast focus on positive school culture and rigor, we can create an environment where all students can achieve at high levels.

I am incredibly honored and excited to have the opportunity to serve as the Planning Principal and Principal of Sageview High School. I look forward to welcoming our students in the Fall of 2025!

Warm regards,

Raquel Martinez
